QUESTION: Saran Narang
I am a US citizen currently residing in India. I want to write and publish for sale on Kindle platform. For this, I want to register a small business in US, but I do not have current residence in US.
Can I register a business in US with home address in India?
Should it be a sole proprietor form or LLC form as I am the only person in the firm and I want maximum legal protection and benefit? Which state regulation will it come under?
If so, are there any tax angles that I need to be concerned with if I run my business in US and reside in India? Which country tax jurisdiction will apply on business?
