Alba M. Alemán, CEO of Citizant, provides the company’s leadership team with counsel on business development, corporate growth, company culture, and ongoing quality initiatives.
Alemán’s career combines more than 20 years of experience in talent acquisition and retention with the delivery of high-quality information solutions to the government. Prior to founding Citizant in 1999, she managed a 70-person professional services team at Texas Instruments that supported federal, state, and local government organizations. She began her career at Mobil Oil Corporation in software development.
In 2010, Alemán was recognized as the Fairfax County (Va.) Latina Business Owner of the Year by the Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In 2008, she was named among the 25 top female executives in the region by Washington SmartCEO Magazine. She is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
Alemán earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and psychology from The George Washington University.
