Since early 2010, the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) has been putting to work its extensive network of manufacturers and suppliers to help American companies meet the requirements of the Buy America and Buy American standards. This work grew out of MEP’s supplier scouting program focused on finding business opportunities for small manufacturers by matching their capabilities with the supply chain needs of America’s original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

To date, MEP has partnered with the departments of Transportation, Energy, and Defense as well as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to make sure their funding recipients connect with American suppliers. Learn more about the MEP Buy America Supplier Scouting opportunities and how to be considered as a potential supplier.

Presenter: Carroll Thomas Martin, NIST MEP Program Manager for Technology/Supplier Scouting.
